Edward J. Harshman, MD
Dr. Harshman is a sole practitioner an upscale office in a residential neighborhood. Respectful of other physicians' knowledge and opinions, he nevertheless appeals to the cost conscious or uninsured patient because of his careful reasoning and his reliance on questioning and physical exams. With emphasis on natural remedies rather than prescription drugs, he encourages patients' autonomy and independence, instead of a relationship based on prescription refills.
HIPAA-exempt (yes, it's legal), Dr. Harshman's office has the old-fashioned ambiance that predated modern insurance regulations--though he does accept MaineCare, motor vehicle insurance, most PPO insurance, and credit cards. He is the doctor-hater's doctor.
For appointments, please call 354-3545. If it's after hours and you need a doctor right away, call. He just might be able to see you on very short notice
